Wedding Etiquette: Who Sits at the Head Table?

Recently while working with one of our clients, they had a question about who sits at the head table. Traditionally, the head table includes the bride, groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen. You can alternate male and female or have bridesmaid sit on one side and groomsmen sit on the other side.

If you have too big of a wedding party, you also can opt to do a sweetheart table (only sits bride and groom) and have your wedding sit by a table nearby with their significant others if applicable.

Beautiful Table Inspiration

I recently came across Johnny Miller’s website as I was looking at photographers during my free time. I ventured into non-wedding photographers and came across this! I was so pleasantly surprised when I loaded his website and I was treated to these beautiful shots on his homepage. Such a simple idea but a wonderful idea that can easily be incorporated into a wedding centerpiece.

Now all I want to do is throw a reception that has a really long guest table with a runner down the center, and a long line of bottles that gradient from one end of the color spectrum to another. Wouldn’t that be dreamy?

Tying the Knot – Forage Bowties!

Two things I love: colorful-modern and diagonal stripes. I’ve found a little bit of both in these adorable bow ties hand crafted by Shauna and Stephen of Something’s Hiding in Here (www.somethingshidinginhere.com). These would be adorable on your groom and groomsmen for a whimsical or more casual wedding, and are a cute and thoughtful way to incorporate your wedding colors into even the smallest details!
